Bill Asher Is An Accomplished Guitarist, And A Leader In The Guitar Industry
A master craftsman, Asher specializes in building and repairing guitars and other instruments. His clients range from collectors to vintage dealers and musicians. He also manages a boutique guitar company in Los Angeles. The company performs restorations on antique instruments and provides person-based customer service. It has a great selection of fine guitars and accessories.
Before becoming a guitar maker, Asher worked for Universal Studios as an assistant cameraman and editor. He also wrote short stories during World War II. In the late 1940s, he started writing and directing movies and television shows. By the early 1960s, he was working on a new series of musical pictures. At the same time, he began directing television.
After the divorce of his parents, Bill Asher and his mother moved back to New York. Although he initially wanted to return to school, he decided to take a job with Universal instead. This gave him the opportunity to work with Rick Turner, who introduced him to some of the top-flight players in the music business.
During his time at Universal, Asher also teamed up with Dr. Dre and signed licensing deals with vodka, snowboards, apparel, and other products. When Asher decided to create his own companies, he was able to leverage his talents for video content. In 2002, he launched Vivid Entertainment and spent $1 billion on his productions. Today, Vivid films are distributed on pay-per-view channels, VHS, and DVD. Having created a reputation for outrageous marketing, Asher went beyond traditional methods to reach his target audience.
Asher’s nightclubs were famous and successful. His clients included a variety of top-tier musicians, including Paul Simon and Ben Harper. Asher’s venues featured grandiose parties and bold stunts, which drew media attention. Eventually, the venues expanded to live music venues and restaurants.
Asher has been recognized as a leader in corporate governance and M&A. His work with Hanley Investment Group was honored by CoStar Power Broker Quarter Deal Awards in 2021. He is a member of SVP’s Center of Excellence for Governance. Additionally, he has served as an adviser to growth companies in life sciences and technology. And as a partner at Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP, he brings deep experience in securities law and corporate finance to the firm’s growth companies.
Asher also has extensive Bill Asher experience in real estate. He has a long history of serving as a volunteer mediator. Earlier, he was a mediator at Houston Volunteer Lawyers. Later, he became a mediator for the Hill County Dispute Resolution Center in Kerville, Texas.
Asher is a member of the American Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He has also served as a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles for over twenty years. He also enjoys golfing, traveling, and sports.
